Camp Pinehurst is a proud provider of Red Cross swimming classes. Campers are leveled according to swim ability and will work to earn their next award. Pinehurst is lucky to have a wonderful sand bottom lake because the summer sun warms it up so quickly. When the weather does turn rainy or chilly, Pinehurst has many other activities going on so it is not necessary to swim. However, when the weather turns hot during the "dog days" of summer, campers can swim as many as 4 times a day!
